| Wrinkle Treatments While-U-Wait....
Dr. Most and Stanford Facial Plastic Surgery are pleased to provide the latest in convenient, in-and-out treatments of facial wrinkles in our office.
You may have heard of BOTOX® Cosmetic, the FDA-approved treatment for wrinkles that actually 'freezes' the muscles that cause wrinkles in the upper portion of the face. You may have also heard of collagen, and the newer collagen substitutes, Restylane and Radiesse. Rather than 'freeze' the muscle, these products 'fill' the wrinkle. Each of the above procedures can be done in the office, after consultation with Dr. Most.
Did you know that Stanford Facial Plastic Surgery is one of the few offices in the Bay Area to offer botox treatments by a physician? In many offices, a non-physician may be performing such injections. Dr. Most, who has been featured on television and in print for his expertise in this area, personally performs all of his Botox, Restylane, and Radiesse injections.
See below for more information on these procedures:
BOTOX®
Botox is a highly purified product of the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum that has been used for medicinal purposes in the United States for decades. Botox is FDA-approved for cosmetic use.
BOTOX® inactivates the muscle by interfering with nerve signal transmission to the muscle. This works well to reduce muscle activity that causes wrinkles in areas such as the forehead, crow’s feet, and glabella (frown lines between the eyebrows). More info...
Restylane
Restylane is an FDA-approved injectable filler material. It is composed of hyaluronic acid, an important component of our connective tissue.
As a filler material, Restylane is used to 'fill in' areas of wrinkles or other depressions that would benefit from 'filling out'. At the time of your initial consultation, Dr. Most will personally evaluate you and determine if you are a good candidate for Restylane injection. More info...
Radiesse (formerly Radiance)
Radiesse is an FDA-approved injectable filler material. It is gel-like material composed primarily of hydroxyapetite, an important component of our bone tissue. As a gel, however, it is soft (not like bone!).
As a filler material, Radiesse is used to 'fill in' areas of wrinkles or other depressions that would benefit from 'filling out'. At the time of your initial consultation, Dr. Most will personally evaluate you and determine if you are a good candidate for Radiesse injection. More info...
